There shall be an Office of the Independent
Township Auditor, the head of which shall be the Independent Township
Auditor, appointed by the Council. The Township shall enter into an
agreement of employment for each calendar year. Said agreement shall
provide for those additional duties and obligations of the auditor
not contained in this chapter but required by law and desired by Council.
The auditor shall be an individual who is a registered municipal accountant
in the State of New Jersey.
