A person shall be permitted to discharge a gun or other firearm within the Borough of Milton solely for the purpose of lawfully shooting game animals, including crows, provided that such activity occurs during such times and places and in compliance with conditions established by the Milton Borough Council pursuant to resolution of the Milton Borough Council. Permits for such activity shall be issued by the Police Department of the Borough of Milton and shall contain such conditions as established by resolution of the Milton Borough Council.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof before any District Justice, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to police officers of the Borough of Milton while they are discharging or firing guns or other firearms at the firing range established by the Borough of Milton.
