The office of Deputy Tax Collector is hereby established. The appointment thereto shall be made by the Township Committee for a term of one year to commence on January 1 of each year.
The Deputy Tax Collector generally shall aid and assist the Tax Collector in the performance of the duties of his office in such manner as the Tax Collector shall from time to time direct. The Deputy Tax Collector shall perform the duties of the Tax Collector in the latter's absence or incapacity.

The Tax Collector's Office of the Township of Mansfield shall be open five days a week, excluding holidays declared by the Township of Mansfield, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:5-52.1, the Tax Collector of the Township of Mansfield may issue and execute a new certificate of tax sale in the event the original certificate of tax sale issued by the Township of Mansfield has been lost or destroyed, upon approval of the Township Committee. The Tax Collector may charge a fee of $100 for the preparation and issuance of the new certificate.
