In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A.
40A:9-140.1 et seq., as amended and supplemented, there is hereby
created the office of Chief Financial Officer.
The Chief Financial Officer shall be appointed
by the Township Committee for a term of one year, to commence on January
1 of each year, unless such term is superseded by statute, in which
event such term shall be as specified by statute.
The Chief Financial Officer shall be duly qualified
in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq.,
as amended and supplemented.
The Chief Financial Officer shall have all the
duties, rights and obligations imposed upon the holder of that office
by the statutes, and rules and regulations promulgated thereunder
by the State of New Jersey.
The Chief Financial Officer shall be compensated
in accordance with the salary ordinance of the Township of Mansfield.
