[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Health

A code regulating the installation, maintenance,
repair, and control of the plumbing of buildings, and the connection
thereof with outside sewers, cesspools or other receptacles, regulating
the practice of plumbing and the issuance of licenses to practice
plumbing, is hereby established pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
275, P.L. of 1948. A copy of code is annexed hereto and made a part
hereof without the inclusion of the text thereof herein.
The code established and adopted by this chapter
is described and commonly known as the "Plumbing Code of New Jersey
(1964)."
Three copies of the Plumbing Code of New Jersey
(1964) similarly marked, have been placed on file in the office of
the Township Clerk and of the Clerk of the Board of Health and will
remain on file in such office for the use and examination of the public.
A.
Section 14.1 is hereby amended to read as follows:

Permits.

14.1.1.

A permit shall be obtained from the Administrative
Authority before any plumbing work is performed except as hereinafter
provided. Issuance of such permits shall be based on a properly executed
application form which will be supplied by the Administrative Authority,
and a satisfactory sketch showing the proposed work in sufficient
detail to determine whether the proposed construction or alteration
will comply with the provisions of these regulations. The Administrative
Authority or its authorized agent may require the submission of detailed
plans and specifications prepared by a licensed architect or engineer
for large installations.

Permits shall not be required for alterations
to any plumbing system consisting of:

a.

Repairs involving only working parts of a faucet,
valve or plumbing fixture.

b.
|
The clearance of stoppages or the repair of
leaks provided such repairs do not require any change in the piping
arrangement.

c.
|
The repair or replacement of any faucet or valve
provided no rearrangement of the connecting piping system is required.

B.
Sections 14.1.2, 14.1.3, 14.5, 14.6, 14.7, 14.8, 14.8.1,
14.9, 14.9.1, 14.10. 14.10.1 are hereby deleted in full.
In connection with the provisions of this chapter
and the code hereby established and adopted as a part hereof, the
following fees shall be charged and received:
A.
For the filing of plans for a proposed plumbing work:
$2.
B.
For the issuance of a permit for a proposed plumbing
construction or alteration: $5, provided, however, an additional fee
of $1 per fixture is hereby established for each fixture above four
proposed in the approved plan for construction or alteration.
C.
For the issuance of a permit for the replacement of
a plumbing fixture: $5.
D.
For each reinspection of plumbing work caused by the
failure of the licensee to comply with the provisions of the code
or permit issued: $5.
E.
For the issuance of permit for installation or replacement
of well pump or lines: $3.
F.
Permit to install or replace any oil- or gas-fired
heating system: $5.
G.
Permit for installation of building sewer and trunk
line connection: $10.
H.
Permit to install or replace an electrical or gas
fired hot water heater: $2.
