No person shall willfully or maliciously, without the consent of the owner thereof, tamper with, break, injure or otherwise destroy or damage in any way, any of the posts, poles, cables, wires, fixtures, antennas, amplifiers or other apparatus, materials, equipment or appliances of any television coaxial cable system, or microwave radio system, or community antenna television system, so as to make use of, hear, observe or be in a position to make use of, hear, observe, or to enable any other person to make use of, hear, observe or be in a position to make use of, hear, or observe, for any use or purpose whatsoever, any message, picture or signal going over any such cable or system aforementioned, or to receive or enable or assist any other person to receive any unauthorized service over any such cable or system aforementioned.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction in the Municipal Court of the City of Linwood, be punished for each offense by a fine not to exceed $200, or by imprisonment for any term not exceeding 90 days in the county jail, or in any place provided by the municipality for the detention of prisoners, or both. The Municipal Judge before whom any person is convicted of violation of this chapter shall have power to impose any fine or term of imprisonment, or both, not exceeding the maximum fixed in this chapter.
