No person shall be intoxicated or drunk or disorderly or under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance drug to the annoyance of or danger to any person or against the peace of the community in any saloon, tavern, theater, public omnibus, sidewalk, street, highway, thoroughfare or any public or private place or in any hotel, boardinghouse, store, restaurant, railroad station or any other public or quasi-public place within the limits of the Township of East Hanover.
No person shall consume intoxicating beverages on any public street, sidewalk, thoroughfare or within the confines of any park or playground within the limits of the Township of East Hanover without a permit to do so from the proper municipal authorities of the Township.
No person or persons, whether owner, tenant, occupant or guest, shall suffer or take part in any drunken, riotous or other disorderly conduct that shall disturb the peace and quiet of any family or neighbor or any of the inhabitants of this Township.
No person or persons shall have in their possession in any motor vehicle or in any public place, such as a sidewalk, street, highway, thoroughfare or any public place, an open container of alcoholic beverages.

Unless other penalties are expressly provided in New Jersey State statutes, any person or persons convicted of a violation of a provision of this article or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $500 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days, or both, in the discretion of the Judge imposing said fines.
