A. 
In general. Regulatory signs, warning signs and advisory speed plates shall be installed as specified in the current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, Bureau of Public Roads, except where superseded by Title 39 of the Revised Statutes or except as otherwise hereinafter indicated in this section. All existing signs that are in conflict with or not provided for in the above manual as superseded by Title 39 of the Revised Statutes or in conflict with the specific provisions of this section shall be removed.
B. 
Speed limits on designated streets. The speed limits shall be as follows:
(1) 
Along River Road, for both directions of traffic, a speed limit of 40 miles per hour for the entire length. Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained as required by the Director of Motor Vehicles and as specified in the letter and authorization dated January 19, 1965, from the Division of Motor Vehicles of the Department of Law and Public Safety of the State of New Jersey to the Township of East Hanover.
(2) 
Along Overlook Avenue, for both directions of traffic, a speed limit of 25 miles per hour for the entire length. Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained as specified as provided in N.J.S.A. 39:4-183.2.

(3) 
Along Cedar Street, for both directions of traffic, a speed limit of 30 miles per hour for the entire length. Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained to effect the above-designated speed limit as authorized by the Department of Transportation.
(4) 
Along McKinley Avenue, for both directions of traffic, a speed limit of 30 miles per hour for the entire length. Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained to effect the above-designated speed limit as authorized by the Department of Transportation.
