Township of East Hanover, NJ Article III Limiting Use of Streets to Certain Vehicles

§ 155-5.1 Trucks over four tons excluded from certain streets.

A. Trucks over four tons' gross weight are hereby excluded from the following designated streets or portions of streets:

B. Nothing within this section shall be construed as preventing such trucks from making deliveries of merchandise and other property to specific locations along streets from which such trucks are excluded, or as excluding from any street in the Township any trucks used by public utility companies in connection with the construction, installation, operation or maintenance of public utility facilities.

§ 155-5.2 Trash collection, refuse, and recycling trucks.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:66-1.6, trash collection, refuse, and recycling trucks are only permitted on residential streets and properties between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, excluding federal holidays. The responsible solid waste generator may apply for a waiver permitting deviation from these hours by filing an application for a public hearing before the Township Council with the Township Clerk.

§ 155-5.3 Trucks larger than 40 feet in length delivering gas excluded from certain streets.

A. Trucks larger than 40 feet in length delivering gas, including diesel fuel, are hereby excluded from the following designated streets or portions of streets:
