The purpose of this article is to amend the Land Use and Subdivision Ordinances of the Township of East Hanover to comply with the Air Safety and Zoning Act of 1983, N.J.S.A. 6:1-80 et seq. and the rules established in N.J.A.C. 16:62.
An ordinance establishing minimum standards for the control of airport and aeronautical hazards and standards for land use adjacent to airports is hereby adopted pursuant to the Air Safety and Zoning Act of 1983, N.J.S.A. 6:1-80 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 16:62 et seq., as amended. These standards shall become part of the Township of East Hanover master plan of development. A copy of N.J.A.C. 16:62 is annexed hereto, and made a part hereof, by reference.[1]

Incorporated by reference herein is the Township of East Hanover Zoning Map, entitled "Zoning Map, Township of East Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey," dated July 2020, prepared by the Township Planner, Maser Consulting. Said Zoning Map is hereby incorporated into and made a part of this article delineating air safety and zoning pursuant to N.J.S.A. 6:1-80 et seq., for the area immediately surrounding that portion of the Morristown Airport located within the Township of East Hanover, County of Morris, State of New Jersey.
A valid copy of this article and a local development master plan shall be transmitted to the Division of Aeronautics in the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
