No person shall enter upon any privately owned piece, parcel or lot of real property in the Village of Centre Island without the permission of the owner, lessee or occupant thereof. The failure of the person so entering upon or found to be on such private property to produce upon demand the written permission of the owner, lessee or occupant to enter upon or to be on such real property shall be and shall constitute presumptive evidence of the violation of this chapter.
A. 
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to persons lawfully engaged in the exercise of municipal functions requiring such persons to enter upon private property; provided, however, that the failure of any such persons to produce, on demand, proper identification shall be and shall constitute presumptive evidence of the violation of this chapter.
B. 
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to minors under the age of 10 years.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the payment of a fine not exceeding $250 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both, for each and every offense.
