A. 
The Village of Siren of Burnett County adopts the following all-terrain vehicle chapter/route for the operation of all-terrain vehicles upon the roadways listed in § 507-3.
B. 
Following due consideration of the recreational value to connect trail opportunities and weighted against possible dangers, public health, liability aspects, terrain involved, traffic density and history of automobile traffic, this chapter has been created.
These routes are created as authorized by § 23.33(8), Wis. Stats.

The following roads are designated as routes: all Village roads and alleys with the exception of State Road 35, State Road 70 and State Road 35/70.
A. 
All ATV operators shall obey the posted route speed limit of 10 miles per hour.
B. 
All ATV operators shall ride in single file on the right-hand side of the paved portion of the roadway.
C. 
Operators must be 16 years of age or older.

D. 
All ATV operators born after January 1, 1988, must have a valid safety certificate.
E. 
Hours of operation of ATVs shall be 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on all routes within the Village of Siren.
F. 
Routes must be signed in accordance with § NR 64.12(7), Wis. Adm. Code.
G. 
All ATVs operated on routes must activate their headlights and taillights.
H. 
All ATV operators and passengers under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.
This chapter shall be enforced by any law enforcement officer of the Village of Siren.
All-terrain vehicle penalties, as found in § 23.33(13)(a), Wis. Stats., are adopted by reference.
