As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
Includes shotgun, air gun, air pistol, spring gun or pistol,
rifles and pistols of any caliber, or any implement which impels a
pellet of any kind with sufficient force capable of causing property
damage or bodily harm.
It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or discharge any
firearm within the Borough of Moosic.
The prohibition in this chapter will not be applicable to the
following:

The discharge of a firearm by any person or persons licensed to carry
and to discharge such firearm for law enforcement purposes and only
if such discharge occurs in the performance of his/her duties as a
law enforcement officer.
Any person who violates or permits a violation of this chapter
shall, upon being convicted before a District Justice, shall pay a
fine not exceeding $1,000, and any costs incurred by the Borough of
Moosic, and in default of payment of the fines and costs shall be
subject to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 30 days. Each day
of the violation shall be considered a separate violation and offense.
