For serious or repeated violation of any of the requirements
of this chapter, or for interference with the authorized representative
in the performance of his/her duties, the private sewage system contractor's
license may be revoked after an opportunity for a hearing has been
provided by the health officer. Prior to such action, the Health Department
shall notify the contractor in writing, stating the reasons for which
the license is subject to revocation and advising that the license
shall be revoked at the end of five days following service of such
notice, unless a request for a hearing is filed with the health officer,
by the holder, within such five-day period. A license may be suspended
for cause pending a hearing on the issue of whether said license should
be revoked.
