[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Council of the Township of Clark 8-19-2002 by Ord. No. 02-15 (Sec. 2-55 of the 2002 Revised General Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]

There is hereby established the Office of the Custodian of Government Records and the Office of the Deputy Custodian of Government Records for Police Matters pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., who are hereby designated as the Township Clerk and the Police Director or officer in charge, respectively, or such other officials as the governing body may from time to time appoint. The said Custodian of Government Records shall have the sole jurisdiction over the custody, release, distribution, dissemination and safekeeping of all general governmental records. The Deputy Custodian of Government Records for Police Matters shall have the sole jurisdiction over the custody, release, distribution, dissemination and safekeeping of all police records and documents to members of the public requesting same.[1]
