[Adopted as Sec. 19-5 of the 1987 Revised General Ordinances]
For the purpose of avoiding congestion and panic in the event of fire or other dire public emergency or catastrophe and to enable the Fire Department of the Borough in the event of fire, speedy and uninterrupted access to and from the entrances and exits of all stores, businesses and mercantile properties and establishments, it shall be unlawful, after the adoption of this chapter, for the owner, lessee, tenant or occupant of any such stores, businesses and mercantile properties and establishments, to keep and maintain or cause to be kept or maintained, any goods, chattels, or other personal property in or on any such entrances and exits leading to and from the public streets and roads of the Borough from and to such stores, businesses and mercantile properties and establishments.
