Application for temporary water and sewer service during construction shall be made by the general contractor or owner of the premises at the office of the Director of Public Works.

A permit fee of $25 shall be paid at the time of issuance of permit. In addition, the general contractor or owner of the premises shall deposit with the Borough Treasurer the sum of $100 to cover meter damage and water use charges.
Upon issuance of permit, the Director of Public Works shall issue a work order to activate the service.

At the conclusion of the construction project, the general contractor or the owner shall apply to the Director of Public Works for a construction service shutoff order. Upon inspection of premises and issuance of same, copy shall be delivered to the Borough Treasurer, who shall return the deposit of $50, less any amount due Borough for meter damage and any outstanding water and sewer bills due.
