[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Red Bank as Sec. 2-12 of the 1987 Revised General Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
There is hereby created, pursuant to the authority of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq., as the same may at anytime hereafter be amended or supplemented, a Municipal Court in the Borough.

The name of the Municipal Court shall be "Municipal Court of the Borough of Red Bank."
The Municipal Court shall have a seal, which shall bear the impress of the name of the Court.
There shall be a Municipal Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Borough Council and who shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified.
The Municipal Court and the Municipal Judge thereof shall have, possess and exercise all the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the provisions of the aforesaid statute.

There shall be a Administrator and a Deputy Administrator of the Municipal Court, who shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council and who shall serve for a term of one year from the date of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified. The Administrator and the Deputy Administrator shall perform such functions and duties as shall be prescribed for him by law, the rules applicable to Municipal Courts, and by the Municipal Judge.

The Municipal Court shall be held in the Borough Hall. The Municipal Judge shall sit as and when required from 8:30 a.m. until the calendar is completed and at such other times as the business of the Court may require, subject to the rules applicable to Municipal Court.
