This is an article to prohibit the parking, stopping, or standing of motor vehicles on certain portions of Townline Road and Pocock Road in the Town of Bergen.
The Town Board of the Town of Bergen finds that in order to preserve, protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Town of Bergen, the following provisions shall be adopted regarding the parking, stopping, or standing of motor vehicles on certain portions of Townline Road and Pocock Road near the Byron-Bergen Central School Complex.
The words and phrases used in this article shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
No person shall park, stop or stand a motor vehicle at any time in the following locations.
A. 
Townline Road, commencing a distance of 300 yards from the eastern boundary line of the Byron-Bergen Central School District Complex continuing and extending a distance of 300 yards beyond the western boundary line of the Byron-Bergen Central School District Complex; and
B. 
Pocock Road a radius of 300 yards, the center being the intersection of Pocock and Townline Road.
The owner or operator of any motor vehicle which is found in violation of this article is guilty of a violation and shall be subject to the penalty of a fine of $75. A ticket, in form as approved by the Town Board, may be served on any violator by the Genesee County Sheriff, New York State Police, or any other police officer having jurisdiction at the scene of the violation, advising the violator of such fine and providing for payment of the fine by mail to the Town Justice Court, unless the violator wishes to contest the charge, in which event a personal appearance in said court is necessary. When the absence of the owner or operator of said motor vehicle prevents personal service of the ticket, the attachment or affixing of the ticket to the vehicle in violation shall be deemed sufficient notice to the operator and owner. Except where the violator contests the charge in court by a personal appearance within 20 days, failure to pay the $75 fine within 20 days shall cause an automatic increase to two times said fine amount, and failure to pay said increased fine within an additional twenty-day period shall result in the issuance of a bench warrant by the Town Justice Court for the arrest of said violator.

This is an article establishing a system of truck routes in the Town of Bergen.
The Town Board of the Town of Bergen finds that in order to preserve, protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Town of Bergen, the following provisions shall be adopted establishing a system of truck routes in the Town of Bergen.
The words and phrases used in this article shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
Pursuant to the provisions of § 1600 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, there is hereby established a system of truck routes in the Town of Bergen on the following roads:
A. 
County Road No. 6, known as Swamp Road and West Sweden Road;
B. 
County Road No. 13, known as Townline Road;
C. 
County Road No. 14, known as Reed Road and North Bergen Road;
D. 
County Road No. 19A, know as Creamery Road and Warboys Road;
E. 
County Road No. 31, known as West Bergen Road.
Any truck, tractor, tractor-trailer combination or other motor vehicle having a gross weight in excess of 10,000 pounds shall be prohibited from operating on all highways in the Town of Bergen outside of the Village of Bergen, except for the truck routes specified in § 454-9 of this article.
A. 
This article shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property along the Town highways from which such vehicles and combinations are otherwise excluded by the provisions of this article.
B. 
This article shall not apply to any fire or other emergency vehicle.
A violation of this article shall constitute a traffic infraction, and shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions of § 1800 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
