Meter reading is completed on a quarterly basis for billing purposes.

Water and sewer utility bills are sent out by the Department on a
quarterly basis for each year.
C.
A ten-day grace period follows each bill due date. Payments which
are received after the grace period are subject to an interest penalty
calculated from the predate at 8% interest for amounts up to $1,500
and 18% for the amounts over $1,500.
D.
Water and sewer charges are billed to the current property owner
only. The Department will not bill tenants.
E.
Irrigation meters are permitted.
F.
All water and sewer usage during the construction of new homes shall
be billed to the property owner and no certificate of occupancy will
be issued unless the collector for the Water and Sewer Utility Department
issues a certification that all charges have been paid.
G.
All meters must meet the standards contained in the Department's
rules and regulations.
H.

The homeowner is responsible for repair cost due to frozen meter
or poor winterization.

Initial frozen meter repair consists of replacement of meter bottom
only.

Subsequent meter reads shall be needed to determine if the meter
chamber was damaged by freezing.
(5)
If a return call is required to replace the meter chamber, additional
repair fees shall be applicable.
