No person shall keep, raise or maintain, or permit to be kept, raised or maintained, at or upon any premises owned, controlled or occupied by him/her in the Township more than seven swine without first having procured a permit from the Board of Health for that purpose.
Any permit may be revoked at any time by the Board of Health when such revocation shall appear to the Board of Health to be necessary for the public health or safety, or for refusal to comply with the provisions of this chapter.
No permit shall allow the holder thereof to have, keep, raise and maintain on any premises mentioned in such permit more than 25 swine. A fee of $10 per year be charged for any such permit. No permit shall be issued for a longer period than one year.
A. 
All buildings, yards, enclosures or premises in which any swine are kept, raised or maintained shall all times be kept in a sanitary condition. The failure or refusal to keep the buildings, yards, enclosures or premises in a sanitary condition shall be the proper basis for a revocation of any permit.
B. 
No permit shall be issued unless prior thereto the premises on which swine are proposed to be kept shall be enclosed with a substantially built fence to restrain and confine such swine to the premises, and shall provide proper shelter or shelters for the swine. In cases where no permit is required, the requirements of this section shall nevertheless apply and violations may be punished as prescribed.
Application for permit hereunder shall be made to the secretary of the Board of Health in writing and such application shall state the location of the premises on which swine are proposed to be kept, the name and address of the owner and operator of the premises, and the number of swine proposed to be kept on the premises pursuant to the permit.
Nothing in this chapter shall apply to, affect or cover the keeping or maintaining of pigs of less than two months of age.
No garbage or decaying vegetable matter, decaying flesh of any animal, fowl or fish shall be imported into Ocean Township for any purpose in connection with the raising or feeding of swine.
