A Shade Tree Commission is hereby created in and for the Borough
of Conshohocken. The said Commission shall be constituted as provided
by law and shall perform all the duties and may exercise all the powers
conferred by law on Borough Shade Tree Commissions.

The Shade Tree Commission shall be composed of not more than
five members who shall be residents of the Borough and shall be appointed
by Council to serve a term of five years, without compensation. The
terms of the members of the Commission shall be staggered so that
one term expires every year.

The Commission may recommend the adoption of regulations for
the care and protection of the shade trees of the Borough; provided,
however, that no such regulation shall be in force until it has been
approved by the Council and enacted as an ordinance.

The Shade Tree Commission shall not expend any money or incur
any financial obligation unless and until said expenditure or obligation
has been approved by the Borough Manager.

The Shade Tree Commission shall organize annually and shall
elect one of its members as President, and the Borough Secretary shall
act as the Secretary of the Shade Tree Commission.
