[HISTORY: Adopted by the Municipal Council of the Borough
of Hawthorne 5-1-1991 by Ord. No. 1547; amended in its entirety 11-3-2010 by Ord. No. 2030-10 (Ch. 74 of the 1989 Code). Subsequent amendments noted
where applicable.]
Games of chance commonly known as "bingo," permitted under the
New Jersey Bingo Licensing Law (L. 1954, c. 6, N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 et
seq.), and "raffles," permitted under the New Jersey Raffles Licensing
Law (L. 1954, c. 5, N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 et seq.) may be conducted, provided
that all other provisions of said laws are complied with, and further
provided that a license authorizing the same has been issued. The
Municipal Clerk is hereby authorized to issue such licenses, provided
that there has been compliance with the aforesaid laws. The Municipal
Clerk shall report the issuance of such licenses to the Municipal
Council not less than monthly.
