There is hereby created within the Township of Upper Deerfield
a committee known as the "Shade Tree Advisory Committee."
The Shade Tree Advisory Committee shall provide guidance and
assistance to the Township Committee of the Township of Upper Deerfield
with respect to the regulation, planting, care and control of shade
and ornamental trees and shrubbery upon Township highways and public
places.
The Township Committee of the Township of Upper Deerfield shall
have ultimate power and jurisdiction with respect to any powers of
a shade tree commission pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:64-1 but shall first
seek the advice and guidance of the Shade Tree Advisory Committee
with respect to the implementation of such powers.
The members of the Shade Tree Advisory Committee shall be appointed
by the Township Committee of the Township of Upper Deerfield for such
term or terms as may be deemed advisable by the Township Committee
of the Township of Upper Deerfield.
