A.
Maximum speed limits are established on portions of specified streets,
as follows, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle
on any part of a street where a maximum speed limit applies at a higher

shall be operated on any property owned by the Borough of Zelienople
or any other public agency or instrumentality within the Borough without
the permission of the property owner and a permit from the Mayor of
the Borough of Zelienople.

A.

B.
The Mayor is authorized to designate as play highways, whenever he
deems that action advisable and for whatever period of time directed
by him, any part of any street in the Borough where sledding and coasting
shall be permitted. That play highway shall be set apart for the purpose
under the direction of the Mayor.
C.
No person shall drive any motor vehicle upon any play highway at
any time when that street shall be designated as a play highway, except
in case of emergency with special permission of the Mayor or of the
police officer in charge, who shall first clear that play highway
of all persons using it for the purpose for which it was set aside.
Any person who violates any provision of this subsection shall, upon
conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile on any
highway, street or road in the Borough of Zelienople other than as
provided above, provided that nothing in this section shall prohibit
any person from operating a snowmobile on any other street in the
Borough:

street is blocked off as provided in Section 7723 of the Vehicle Code.
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be subject
to the penalties prescribed in Section 7752(a) of the Vehicle Code.[2]

A.
No person shall use, operate or permit the use or operation of any
skateboard, in-line skates or like instrument on any sidewalk, street,
parking lot or other public place within the business district of
Zelienople Borough. For the purpose of this section, the business
district shall be deemed to be the area from Culvert Street to Grandview
Avenue on Main Street, north and south.
B.
No person shall use or operate a skateboard on any major traffic
roadways, namely Route 68 East, Route 68 West, Route 19 North, Route
19 South, Route 288 and Route 588.
C.
No person shall set up or maintain any type of device used to propel
a skateboard on any street or roadway within the Borough of Zelienople,
and no person shall set up or maintain a ramp or device used to propel
a skateboard in such a manner that will propel the skateboard and
operator onto any street or roadway within the Borough.
D.
Where use is permissible, the user of any skateboard or like instrument
shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian, motor vehicle, or
any other user of said sidewalk, street or parking lot and shall not
interfere with the proper use of any public way or by any other person.
E.
Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a summary offense
and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more
than $15 nor more than $600, plus costs of prosecution.
