A person having custody of a dog or other animal shall not permit
said dog or any other animal to defecate on any school ground, public
street, alley, sidewalk, tree, bank, park or any private property
within the Borough of Zelienople other than the premises of the owner
or person having custody of said dog or other animal unless the defecation
is removed immediately.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision
of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay
a fine of not more than $25 for a first offense, $50 for a second
offense nor $600 for any offense thereafter, plus costs and, in default
of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to
exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this article continues
shall constitute a separate offense.

It is hereby prohibited for any person or other entity to permit
the running at large of any animal within the Borough; it is also
prohibited for any animal to be running at large within the Borough.
Any animal found to be running at large within the Borough is
subject to seizure, detention and possible destruction by the person
or agency appointed as the animal control person or agency for the
Borough or by any other Borough official. Said seizure, detention
and possible destruction is to be conducted pursuant to the laws of
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Any person or entity responsible for any animal found running
at large within the Borough, upon being found guilty thereof, may
be fined for the costs of the seizure, detention or destruction of
their animal.
The term "animal" as used herein shall include any and all animals,
domestic or wild, and shall include but not be limited to dogs, cats,
goats, pigs, horses, chickens, sheep.
Any person found guilty of a violation of this article is subject
to the imposition of a fine of up to $300 per violation, and every
day that the violation exists may be construed as a new violation.
