GENERAL REFERENCES

The position of Deputy Assistant Superintendent of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol is hereby created.
The duties of said Deputy Assistant Superintendent of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol shall include the following:
A. 
The rank of Deputy Assistant Superintendent is next below that of Assistant Superintendent of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol in duty and responsibility.
B. 
The Deputy Assistant Superintendents shall be subordinate to and under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol and shall aid and assist him in the proper execution of his duties and obligations. They shall be responsible for the efficient operation of designated areas of the Beach Patrol.
The Deputy Assistant Superintendent shall be paid the salary of $754.58, payable biweekly.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:48-2.12g et seq., a custodian may be appointed on behalf of the City of Atlantic City and designated to:
A. 
Enter and take charge of specific premises that have been found to be a nuisance.
B. 
Supervise abatement of said nuisance, the correction of the defective condition or the maintenance of the premises in a proper condition so as to conform to the requirements of municipal ordinances and state laws applicable thereto.
C. 
Bring an action in the Superior Court to be appointed receiver ex officio of the rents and income of such real property for the purpose of collecting the rents and income from such property and expend the same for the purpose of abating said conditions. Said rents and income so collected by the said receiver shall also be available for the payment of such costs and expenses of the receivership, as may be adjudged by the court, and for the payment to the municipality of any fines or penalties which may have been imposed on the owner for violations of this Article and which have not been paid by the person liable therefor. The court may proceed in the action in a summary manner or otherwise. Such receiver shall not be required to give bond and shall be appointed only for the said purposes.
