Ashes shall be soaked in water and placed in receptacles separate from those used for garbage and rubbish.
Wet rubbish and garbage shall be drained of all liquids and wrapped in paper before being placed in receptacles for collection.
Tree trimmings, hedge clippings, lumber and similar material shall be cut to lengths not to exceed four feet each and securely tied in bundles not more than two feet thick.
Objects which, because of their size or shape, do not fit into refuse containers or whose weight exceeds 60 pounds shall be placed out for collection only at such places and at times designated by appointment made with the Department of Public Works. Doors shall be removed from stoves, ovens, refrigerators and other items which have locking doors.

Fluorescent and mercury lamps shall be securely and completely wrapped in cardboard or heavy wrapping paper. The words "fluorescent lamp" shall be written on the outer wrapping in large, clear letters.
