GENERAL REFERENCES
General penalty — See Ch. 1, Art. II.
No person shall discharge any firearm upon or across any state, county or municipal road or highway within the limits of the Borough of Spotswood, and no person except the owner or lessee of the property and persons specifically authorized in writing by the owner or lessee shall have in his possession a loaded gun or firearm of any type while within 450 feet of any occupied dwelling in the Borough or while within 450 feet of a church, school or school playground.
No person shall discharge any gun or weapon which ejects a projectile made of lead or metal or similar substance, or metal-tipped dart, which is propelled by compressed air, upon or across any state, county or municipal road or highway within the limits of the Borough of Spotswood, and no person, except the owner or lessee of the property and persons specifically authorized in writing by the owner or lessee shall have in his possession a loaded air gun or weapon while within 250 feet of any occupied dwelling in the Borough or while within 250 feet of a church, school or school playground.
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to members of the Borough Police Department, nor to any other duly appointed governmental law enforcing officer, while acting in the line of duty.
