This article shall be entitled "A Local Law Providing for the
Establishment of Truck Routes in the Town of Busti."
All Town and county highways located within the Town of Busti
shall constitute truck routes, upon which all trucks, tractors and
tractor-trailer combinations having a total gross weight in excess
of 10,000 pounds are permitted to travel and operate; provided, however,
that said vehicles and combinations are excluded from the following
Town roads: Mitchell Road, Garfield Road from Forest Avenue to Baker
Street, Sunset Drive, Paterniti Place, Ridge Road, Holly Lane, Hillview
Drive, Trask Road, Shadyside Road between the Lakewood Village line
and Cowing Road, Cowing Road between Shadyside and Southwestern Drive,
and Winch Road between the Lakewood Village line and Baker Street.
No trucks, tractors or tractor-trailer combinations, having
a gross weight in excess of 10,000 pounds, are permitted to travel
and operate on Mitchell Road, Garfield Road from Forest Avenue to
Baker Street, Sunset Drive, Paterniti Place, Ridge Road, Holly Lane,
Hillview Drive, Trask Road, Shadyside Road between the Lakewood Village
line and Cowing Road, Cowing Road between Shadyside and Southwestern
Drive, and Winch Road between the Lakewood Village line and Baker
Street.
Any violation of any provision of this article by any person,
corporation or organization shall be punishable as a violation and
by a fine not to exceed $250 or imprisonment for a period not to exceed
15 days, or both.
The Highway Superintendent, in addition to the foregoing penalties,
may maintain any action for an injunction or other remedy to prevent
the operation of trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations
having a gross weight in excess of 10,000 pounds upon any road in
the Town of Busti and not designated as a truck route pursuant to
the provisions hereof.
