As provided in § 7.15, Wis. Stats., the City Clerk shall have charge of and supervise all elections held in the City.
Election officials for each polling place shall be appointed pursuant to §§ 7.30, 7.31 and 7.32, Wis. Stats.
All candidates for elective City office shall file nomination papers pursuant to § 8.10, Wis. Stats.

The polls of the City shall open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. for all elections.

The polling place for all four wards shall be the multipurpose room of the Nekoosa Area Senior/Community Center on Crestview Lane.
The boundaries of the City are set forth on the Official Map of the City, and the legal description of said boundaries is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

(1) 
The boundaries of the four wards of the City are set forth on the Official Ward Map of the City,[1] pursuant to the description set forth in this section.
(2) 
For the purpose of this section, the term "ward" as set forth in § 5.15, Wis. Stats., is used to define the area which an Alderman will represent.
(3) 
The boundaries of the wards in the City of Nekoosa shall be as follows:

(a) 
Ward 1: all census blocks in the City of Nekoosa lying northerly and westerly of the following described line: commencing at the intersection of State Highway 173 and County Highway G, thence east along State Highway 173/Wood Avenue to the intersection of State Highway 173/Wood Avenue and Birch Street, thence north along Birch Street to the intersection of Birch Street and West Buehler Avenue, thence east along West Buehler Avenue to the intersection of West Buehler Avenue and State Highway 173/Cedar Street, thence north along State Highway 173/Cedar Street/North Cedar Street to the intersection of North Cedar Street and West 3rd Street, thence east along West 3rd Street to the intersection of West 3rd Street and Ashland Avenue, thence north along Ashland Avenue to the intersection of Ashland Avenue and West 5th Street, thence east along West 5th Street to the intersection of West 5th Street and Garrison Avenue, thence north along Garrison Avenue to the intersection of Garrison Avenue and Cranmoor Road, thence east along Cranmoor Road and the easterly extension thereof to the west end of the railway yard, thence south along the west end of the railway yard to the intersection of the west end of the railway yard and the westerly extension of 2nd Street, thence east along the westerly extension of 2nd Street to the terminus of 2nd Street, thence northerly to a point on Wilhorn Road where the easterly railroad track crosses, thence east along Wilhorn Road to the intersection of Wilhorn Road and State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue, thence northerly along State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue to the boundary between the City of Nekoosa and the Village of Port Edwards.

Ward 2: commencing at the intersection of State Highway 173/Market Street and North Cedar Street, the point of beginning, thence east along State Highway 173/Market Street to the intersection of State Highway 173/Market Street and Point Basse Avenue, thence north along Point Basse Avenue to the intersection of Point Basse Avenue and 1st Street, thence east along 1st Street to the intersection of 1st Street and State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue, thence southwesterly along State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue to the intersection of State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue and State Highway 173/Market Street, thence southeasterly along State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue to the west bank of the Wisconsin River, thence northerly along the west bank of the Wisconsin River to the boundary between the City of Nekoosa and the Village of Port Edwards, thence west along the boundary between the City of Nekoosa and the Village of Port Edwards to the intersection of the boundary between the City of Nekoosa and the Village of Port Edwards and State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue, thence southerly along State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue to the intersection of State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue and Wilhorn Road, thence west along Wilhorn Road to a point on Wilhorn Road where the easterly railroad track crosses, thence southerly to the terminus of 2nd Street, thence west along the westerly extension of 2nd Street to the intersection of the westerly extension of 2nd Street and the west end of the railway yard, thence north along the west end of the railway yard to the intersection of the west end of the railway yard and the easterly extension of Cranmoor Road, thence west along Cranmoor Road and the easterly extension thereof to the intersection of Cranmoor Road and Garrison Avenue, thence south along Garrison Avenue to the intersection of Garrison Avenue and West 5th Street, thence west along West 5th Street to the intersection of West 5th Street and Ashland Avenue, thence south along Ashland Avenue to the intersection of Ashland Avenue and West 3rd Street, thence east along West 3rd Street to the intersection of West 3rd Street and North Cedar Street, thence south along North Cedar Street to the point of beginning.

Ward 3: all census blocks in the City of Nekoosa lying southerly and westerly of the following described line: commencing at the intersection of State Highway 173 and County Highway G, thence east along State Highway 173/Wood Avenue to the intersection of State Highway 173/Wood Avenue and Birch Street, thence north along Birch Street to the intersection of Birch Street and West Buehler Avenue, thence east along West Buehler Avenue to the intersection of West Buehler Avenue and State Highway 173/Cedar Street, thence north along State Highway 173/Cedar Street to the intersection of State Highway 173/Cedar Street and State Highway 173/Market Street, thence east along State Highway 173/Market Street to the intersection of State Highway 173/Market Street and South Section Street, thence south along South Section Street to the boundary between the City of Nekoosa and the Town of Port Edwards.
(d) 
Ward 4: all census blocks in the City of Nekoosa lying east of South Section Street and south of State Highway 173/Market Street, also all census blocks bounded by 1st Street on the north side, State Highway 73/Prospect Avenue on the East Side, State Highway 173/Market Street on the south side and Point Basse Avenue on the west side.

The City is hereby divided into four aldermanic districts, comprised from the four wards, as described in § 1.46 of this article, as follows:

First Aldermanic District: First Ward.

Second Aldermanic District: Second Ward.
(3) 
Third Aldermanic District: Third Ward.
(4) 
Fourth Aldermanic District: Fourth Ward.
