Pursuant to the provisions of § 271 of the Town Law, there is hereby created a Planning Board of and for the Town of Kingsbury, to be known as the "Kingsbury Planning Board," said Board to consist of seven members, who shall serve without compensation.
The Planning Board hereby created shall be and hereby is vested with the authority, powers and duties described and delineated in §§ 272, 272-a, 273 and 275 of the Town Law[1] and such other powers and duties as may hereafter be delegated to it by action of the Town Board pursuant to the provisions of other sections of Article 16 of the Town Law.

The terms of office of the members of the Kingsbury Planning Board shall begin on the effective date of this chapter.[1] The Town Board may remove any member of the Kingsbury Planning Board for cause after a public hearing. Cause for said removal shall include but not be limited to the failure of any member of the Kingsbury Planning Board to attend, for a period of three consecutive months, regularly scheduled meetings of the Kingsbury Planning Board.

Editor's Note: The effective date of this resolution was July 10, 1968. The remainder of the original section, which contained the appointment of the original members of the Planning Board, was repealed 12-28-1983 by L.L. No. 2-1983. A list of current members of the Planning Board is available for inspection at the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours.
For the payment of such expenses as are authorized by § 272 of the Town Law,[1] there will be made available such funds as may hereafter be appropriated, from time to time, by the Town Board.
