Editor's Note: This ordinance superseded former Art. V, Restrictions on Servicing Motor Vehicles on Streets, adopted 10-19-1976 by Ord. No. 1049 (Ch. XXI, Part 1B, of the 1976 Code of Ordinances).
It shall be unlawful for any person to repair or overhaul any motor vehicle on any public street in the Borough of Verona, provided that a person may do emergency work of short duration on a motor vehicle, such as changing a tire or battery, adjusting spark plugs or points, putting water into the radiator, or fixing a broken radiator hose.
Any person who shall violate the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution or, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 10 days.

Editor's Note: Section 37 of Ord. No. 03-2014, adopted 7-8-2014, stated that any person who shall violate any provision of this article or who knowingly files a false report required by this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentence to pay a civil fine of not more than $1,000.
