It shall be unlawful in the City of Northfield to repair any motor vehicle and/or motorcycle in a residential district unless the motor vehicle being repaired is registered to the house where the repairs are being made or it belongs to a relative of the residents of the house where the repairs are being made. The term "relative" shall be defined as parents, children, stepchildren, siblings and/or grandparents of any of the residents of the house.
No motor vehicle or motorcycle shall be allowed to be repaired on any street within the City of Northfield unless the motor vehicle has broken down and is being provided emergency repair service, including but not limited to the changing of a tire and/or being provided emergency service to start a motor vehicle.
Any person who violates this article, including the property owner or the owner of the motor vehicle and/or motorcycle, shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $500 for each violation.
