A straight section of road of at least 100 feet shall be introduced between all horizontal curves on collector streets and of at least 200 feet between horizontal curves on arterial streets.
(e)
Combinations of the minimum radius and maximum grade shall be avoided.
[Ord. 311, 8/20/2012, § I]

[Ord. 311, 8/20/2012, § I]
(a)
Streets shall intersect as nearly as possible at right angles, and no street shall intersect another at an angle of less than 75°, or more than 105°. The angle of intersection with arterial streets shall be 90°.
(b)
No more than two streets shall intersect at the same point.
(c)
Streets intersecting another street shall either intersect directly opposite to each other or shall be separated by at least 150 feet between center lines, measured along the center line of the street being intersected.
(d)
On all streets which require stopping, intersections shall be approached by a straight leveling area, the grade of which shall not exceed 5% within 50 feet of the intersection of the nearest right-of-way lines.
(e)
Intersections with arterial streets shall be located not less than 1,000 feet apart, measured from center line to center line, along the center line of the arterial street.
(f)
Street curb intersections shall be rounded by a tangential arc with a minimum radius of:
(1)
For intersections involving only minor streets or alleys: 20 feet.
(2)
For all intersections involving a collector street: 30 feet.
(3)
For all intersections involving an arterial street: 40 feet.
[Ord. 311, 8/20/2012, § I]
(a)
Clear-sight triangles shall be provided at all street intersections. Within such triangles, no vision-obstructing object shall be permitted which obscures vision above the height of 30 inches and below 10 feet measured from the center line grade of intersecting streets. Such triangles shall be established from a distance of 75 feet from the point of intersection of the center lines, except that clear-sight triangles of 150 feet shall be provided for all intersections with arterial streets.
(b)
Wherever a required portion of the line of such clear-sight triangles occurs behind the building setback line, that portion shall be considered a building setback line.
(c)
Sight distance at street intersections shall be such to provide the following minimum stopping distance for a vehicle traveling on an approaching street which has no stop or signal control:
Design Speed of Approaching Street With No Stop or Signal Control
(in miles per hour)
Minimum Stopping Distance Required Unless Alternative Permitted by Township
