(a) 
All luminaires shall be high-pressure sodium.
(b) 
Maximum lamp size shall be 150 watts, unless otherwise approved by the Township.
(c) 
Each luminaire shall be individually controlled by a twist-lock photocell per PPL specifications.
(d) 
All lenses shall be Lexan or similar vandal-resistant material.

(a) 
Poles shall be round anodized aluminum, with bolt-down bases.
(b) 
A handhole shall be designed into the pole itself, or a matching junction box of six inches by six inches shall be installed at each pole.
(c) 
Poles shall be set back 24 inches from the face of the curb to the face of the pole.

(a) 
All wiring shall be in plastic rigid conduit, with a minimum diameter of 1 1/4 inches, Schedule 40 PVC, buried at a depth of 22 inches, one foot behind the curb or curbline.
(b) 
There shall be a continuous run of conduit from the handhole or junction box at the pole to the service disconnect.
(c) 
No direct burial wiring will be approved.
(d) 
Only electrical-approved conduit and electrical sweeps shall be used.

(a) 
All wiring shall be THHN or UF-NMC with GR, No. 12 minimum gauge.
(b) 
Larger wiring shall be used if voltage drop requires such.
(c) 
No direct burial wiring will be approved.
(d) 
A service disconnect shall be provided, consisting of a breaker box and breaker mounted on a treated wood post six inches by six inches, and secured with a Master No. 3 # 3220 padlock. (See PPL circular No. 2-141, two sheets, latest edition.)
(e) 
A separate in-line fuse shall be installed in the base of each pole.

(a) 
Bases shall be concrete, five feet deep and one foot thick.
(b) 
Bases may be augered (circular) or excavated and formed (circular or square), with anchor bolts.

(a) 
The applicant shall submit catalog cuts (luminaire, lamp, photocell, and pole) to the applicable electric utility or company and to the Township for approval.
(b) 
Catalog cuts shall contain the name, address and telephone number of the supplier, and the name of the subdivision.

(a) 
All work shall be done in accordance with the most recent, applicable Electrical Code, as determined by the Township and utility provider.
(b) 
Mounting heights will generally be in the range of 14 feet to 18 feet.
(c) 
Lights shall be installed at all intersections, culs-de-sac, horizontal curves, sag vertical curves and less than 500 feet apart under all circumstances.
(d) 
These specifications shall be used with PPL circular No. 2-141, two sheets, latest edition.
(e) 
Upon written request by the Township Board of Supervisors the applicant shall be responsible for energizing and maintaining the streetlight system until such time as the roadway is dedicated to the public use, in order to maintain the health, safety and welfare of the public.
