(a)
Prohibited. Spitting upon the sidewalks or crosswalks
of any public street, avenue or public square or place in the city
or upon the floor of any factory, school house, church, store or any
building which is used in common by the public or upon the floor of
any railroad car or other public conveyance or upon the floor of any
depot or station or upon the station platform of any railroad or other
common carrier is hereby forbidden.
(b)
Notices to be posted. The person owning or having
a building, store, factory, railroad car or other public conveyance
or any depot or station, station platform or other common carrier
shall keep permanently posted, in each of said cases, a sufficient
number of notices forbidding spitting upon the floors and calling
attention to the provisions of this section.

No person shall throw or deposit into any street, lane, alley
or other public place in the city from his premises any stinking,
obnoxious, impure, offensive or noisome water, substance or thing
in liquid or solid state.
