§ 20.01 Purpose.

The title of this chapter is the "City of Nekoosa Comprehensive Plan Ordinance." The purpose of this chapter is for the City to lawfully adopt a Comprehensive Plan as required under § 66.1001(4)(c), Wis. Stats.

§ 20.02 Legislative authority.

(1) 
The City Plan Commission under Wis. Stats., and under § 66.1001(4), Wis. Stats., has developed this plan. The Comprehensive Plan of the City of Nekoosa must be in compliance with § 66.1001(4)(c), Wis. Stats., in order for the City Council to adopt this chapter.
(2) 
The City of Nekoosa, by this chapter, adopted on proper notice with a quorum and vote by a majority of the City Council present and voting, provides the authority for the City to adopt its Comprehensive Plan under s. 66.1001, Wis. Stats.

§ 20.03 Public participation.

The City Council of the City of Nekoosa has adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation in the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan as required by § 66.1001(4)(a), Wis. Stats.

§ 20.04 Plan Commission recommendation.

The Plan Commission of the City of Nekoosa, by a majority vote of the entire Commission, recorded in its official minutes, has adopted a resolution recommending to the City Council the adoption of the City Comprehensive Plan, which contains all of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2), Wis. Stats.

§ 20.05 Public hearing.

The City has held at least one public hearing on this chapter, with notice in compliance with the requirements of § 66.1001(4)(d), Wis. Stats.

§ 20.06 Adoption of plan.

The City Council of the City of Nekoosa, by the enactment of this chapter, formally adopts the document entitled "City of Nekoosa Comprehensive Plan Ordinance" pursuant to § 66.1001(4)(c), Wis. Stats.
