There shall be a Planning Board of five members, pursuant to
the provisions of § 271 of the Town Law.
The reduction of the Planning Board from seven members to five
members shall take effect immediately.
Members sitting on the Planning Board on the effective date
of this chapter shall continue to serve their appointed terms. Thereafter,
appointments other than to fill out an unexpired term shall be for
a period of five years.
The Town Board may provide for compensation of Planning Board
members.
This chapter shall supersede in its application to the Town
of Bethlehem Subdivision 7 of § 271 of the Town Law, providing
for means for reducing the size of a planning board from seven members
to five members, and any other provision of § 271 of the
Town Law that may be inconsistent with this chapter.
