A. 
The Director of Budget and Finance shall receive all tax books, money, books, papers, vouchers and other property belonging to the City from his/her predecessor in office or from another officer having the custody thereof, giving duplicate receipts therefor, one (1) of which he/she shall file in the office of the City Clerk.
B. 
It shall be the duty of the Director of Budget and Finance to keep all books and papers belonging to the office and at the expiration of his/her term of office deliver the same in good order to his/her successor in office.

The Director of Budget and Finance shall use diligence in collecting all taxes and other revenue due to the City, the collection of which is not otherwise provided for. Further, he/she shall, at the end of each quarter, collect the amount then due the City on rent for any City property, giving duplicate receipts therefor, one (1) of which he/she shall file in the office of the City Clerk.

The Director of Budget and Finance shall report all mistakes which he/she may find on the tax books to the Council and he/she shall not in any case make any correction on such books or change any item thereon or make any valuation correspond with that fixed by the County Assessor unless first directed to do so by the Council. In all such cases any change made on the books shall be reported by him/her to the City Clerk.

The Director of Budget and Finance shall make out delinquent tax lists and make such disposition of same as this Code or other ordinance may require.

The Director of Budget and Finance shall have the financial statements for June and December of each year posted on the City's website. This is to be done when the same financial statements are provided to the City Council. The Director of Budget and Finance will also make these statements available to the public at City Hall.

A. 
In addition to the general duties of the Director of Budget and Finance prescribed herein or by State Statute, the following specific duties shall be carried out by the Director of Budget and Finance. He/she shall:
1. 
Provide the Council with a monthly report of all money collected and deposited with a depository selected by the Council.
2. 
Prepare and mail all tax statements on or before October first (1st) of each year or provide for collection by the County.
3. 
Collect all other money due the City and deposit the same daily in a depository selected by the Council.
4. 
Take all applications for licenses required by this Code or other ordinance and once in each month the Director of Budget and Finance shall file affidavit and complaint before the Municipal Judge against all persons doing business in the City without a license, should such persons be required to be licensed by this Code or other ordinance.
5. 
Provide the Council with a detailed quarterly report showing the status of all monies within the City's investment portfolio.
B. 
In addition to the duties defined in this Article, the Director of Budget and Finance shall perform all the duties and comply with all the requirements prescribed by this Code or other ordinance of the City in relation to the revenue and the collection of same.
