Chapter 7, Animals, of the Calvert County Code, shall apply within the jurisdictional limits of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, raise or maintain any live farm animal within the corporate limits of the Town. The term "farm animal" shall include, but not be limited to, the following animals: horses, mules, cattle, sheep, swine other than potbelly pigs, goats other than pygmy goats, bison, llamas, alpacas, and poultry, and any other similar animals. a farm animal shall be considered to be "kept" if an owner or occupant of the premises on which the farm animal is located provides food and/or shelter for the animal, even if such person does not claim ownership of the animal. The term shall not include potbelly pigs or pygmy goats.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, raise or maintain within the corporate limits of the Town any rabbits, pygmy goats, or potbelly pigs in quantities greater than five and that are not spayed or neutered or to operate a commercial breeding operation with respect to such animals.

A. 
Any person or entity violating the provisions of § 104-2 shall be guilty of a municipal infraction and is subject to a fine of $250. citations for municipal infractions shall be issued by a Code Enforcement Officer to those persons whom he adjudges to be committing a municipal infraction in accordance with the provisions of Town Code, Chapter 1 General Provisions, Article III, Penalties and Enforcement.
B. 
All officials of Calvert County who are authorized to enforce the provisions of Chapter 7, Animals of the Calvert County Code, including but not limited to animal control officers and the Calvert County Sheriff's Department, are hereby authorized to enforce all provisions of Chapter 7, Animals, of the Calvert County Code within the jurisdictional limits of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland.
Future amendments of Chapter 7, Animals, of the Calvert County Code shall apply within the jurisdictional limits of Chesapeake Beach without the need for further amendment of this chapter.
