1.
No person shall ride, use or otherwise operate or propel any unregistered
motorized scooter or recreational devices or vehicle on any street,
alley or sidewalk in the Borough of Middleburg.
2.
No person shall ride, use or operate a skateboard, in-line skates
or scooters on any street or alley in the Borough of Middleburg.
3.
Whenever any person is riding a bicycle, skateboard, in-line skates
or scooter upon a sidewalk, such person shall yield the right-of-way
to any pedestrian and shall give audible signal before overtaking
and passing such pedestrian.
4.
No person shall ride, use or otherwise operate any unregistered motorized
scooter, recreational device or vehicle, bicycle, skateboard, in-line
skates or scooter upon any playground or park, where children are
playing, without the permission of the persons having supervision
of the playground or park.
5.
A person engaged in skateboarding, bicycling, in-line skating, using
a scooter, unregistered motorized scooter or recreational device or
vehicle shall obey traffic, police officer and pedestrian control
signals as provided under Pa. Motor Vehicle Code, § 3112
(relating to traffic-control signals) and § 3111 (relating
to pedestrian control signals).

This Part does not restrict or regulate the operation of motorized
wheelchairs or other similar devices for the handicapped.

Any person violating any provision of this Part is guilty of
a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay
a fine of not less than $25 and not to exceed $300 plus costs of prosecution.
