A.
There
is hereby imposed a service charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00)
upon the drawer of any check or draft payable to the City of Owensville,
Missouri, which is dishonored by the drawee bank for any reason not
attributable to the fault or negligence of said City. Said service
charge shall be payable by such drawer immediately upon return of
the check or draft to the City or upon other notice of dishonor of
said check or draft to the City.
B.
The
City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to demand and receive
payment of said service charge in addition to the amount for which
such dishonored check or draft was drawn as a condition of acknowledging
receipt of payment for the charge for which such check or draft was
given in payment.
