Section 135.010 Creation — Composition — Terms of Members.

A Park Board of the City of Wright City is hereby created. The Park Board shall consist of six (6) persons, three (3) residents of each ward of the City, appointed by the Mayor, with the consent and approval of the majority of the members of the Board of Aldermen, as follows: Two (2) members, one (1) from each ward, shall be appointed for a term of one (1) year; two (2) members, one (1) from each ward, shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years; two (2) members, one (1) from each ward, shall be appointed for a term of three (3) years. Their successors shall in all cases be appointed for terms of three (3) years, and all appointments to fill vacancies shall be for the unexpired terms.

Section 135.020 Compensation.

The Board members shall receive no compensation for their services as such board members.

Section 135.030 Duties and Responsibilities.

A. 
The Park Board shall report on any matter referred to it by the Board of Aldermen. The Board of Aldermen may, from time to time, assign such functions or duties to the Park Board as it deems advisable.
B. 
The Park Board shall prescribe, amend, and enforce rules for the use, operation, maintenance, and regulation of any parks belonging to the City and such rules shall have the effect of law after they have been approved by the passage of an appropriate ordinance by the Board of Aldermen.

Section 135.040 Removal of Park Board Members From Office.

The Mayor may, with the consent of a majority of all members elected to the Board of Aldermen, remove from office any member of the Park Board at will, and any such member may be so removed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of all the members elected to the Board of Aldermen, independently of the Mayor's approval or recommendation.

Section 135.050 Disqualification Due To Moving Out of Ward.

Any member of the Park Board who moves his residence from the Ward from which he was appointed, shall be disqualified as a member of the Board.
