A certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Louisiana, being marked and designated as the International Plumbing Code, 2003 Edition, including Appendix Chapters B, C, D, E, G, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City of Louisiana in the State of Missouri for regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Plumbing Code on file in the office of the City of Louisiana are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Article, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 500.220 of this Article.

The following Sections of the International Plumbing Code adopted herein are hereby revised:
Section 101.1 Insert: City of Louisiana.
Section 106.6.2 Insert: See fees set out in the Building Code amendments, Section 500.020 of this Code.
Section 108.4 Insert: (Misdemeanor), ($500.00), (90 days).
Section 108.5 Insert: ($50.00), ($500.00) (Fine)—(Stop Work).
Section 305.6.1 Insert: (36 inches), (36 inches) (Septic Tank).
Section 904.1 Insert: (12 inches) (Roof vent).

Nothing in this Article or the code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in Section 500.240 of this Article; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this Article.

All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or the code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
