A.
Upon
approval of the Board of Aldermen, the Police Department is hereby
authorized to publicize and offer a monetary reward for information
leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for
damage, destruction or vandalism to City property or City facilities.
B.
The Board
of Aldermen may provide for such monetary rewards by appropriation
in the annual budget. The exact amount of a particular reward shall
be established by the Board of Aldermen considering the severity of
the offense, the extent of the damage, destruction or vandalism and
any other factors which the Board deems to be relevant.
C.
The reward
shall only be paid by the City upon conviction of the perpetrators.
