Section 200.010 Duties and Powers of Police Chief.

A. The City Police Chief shall:

1. Supervise the City Police Department;

2. Provide adequate Police protection to citizens of the City;

3. Enforce all State laws and City ordinances;

4. Perform such other duties as required by State law, City ordinance and the Board.

Section 200.020 Duties and Powers of Assistant Police Chiefs.

A. The City Assistant Police Chiefs shall:

1. Assist the City Police Chief in supervising the City Police Department, providing adequate Police protection to citizens of the City and enforcing all State laws and City ordinances;

2. Act as Chief of Police during the absence from the City of the Chief of Police; and

3. Perform such other duties as required by State law, City ordinance and the Board.

Section 200.030 Power of Police Officers To Respond To Emergencies Outside of City.

A. The Police Officers who have completed basic Police training as promulgated by Chapter 590, RSMo., are hereby authorized to respond to an emergency situation outside the boundaries of the City of Weatherby Lake, Missouri.

B. Definition. For the purposes of this Section, the following definition shall apply:

EMERGENCY SITUATION

Any unforeseen combination of circumstances or events involving danger or eminent danger to human life or property which requires immediate action.
