[Prior code § 11.01]
The Walworth County health department may enforce the provisions of this chapter and shall have the powers of the Village health officer. The department when authorized by the Village Board may prosecute in the name of the Village actions for violations of this chapter and Chapter 8.08.
[Prior code § 11.02]
The health department may abate public health nuisances as provided
in Section 254.59, Wis. Stats.
[Prior code § 11.03]
The health department may make reasonable and general rules for the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter and Chapter 8.08 and for the prevention of the creation of health nuisances and the protection of the public health and welfare, and may where appropriate require the issuance of licenses and permits. All such requirements when approved by the Village Board shall have the same effect as ordinances and any person violating any of such regulations and any lawful order of the board shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter 1.08 of this code.
