[1997 Code § 13-1]
A Municipal Court for the City of Absecon City is established
pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq.

The name of the Municipal Court shall be the "Municipal Court
of the City of Absecon City."

The Municipal Court shall have a seal, which shall bear the
impress of the name of the Court.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be
appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council
and who shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his
appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified.

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall receive an annual salary
as established in the salary ordinance.

The Municipal Court and the Judge of the Municipal Court shall
have, possess and exercise all the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction
conferred by the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq.
[1997 Code § 13-7]
The Municipal Court shall be held in the City Hall, Absecon
City, at such times as the business of the Court may require, subject
to the rules applicable to Municipal Courts.
