The Greenville Area Public Library and its Board of Directors
is hereby designated as the agent of the Borough to provide continuing
free library service to the residents and taxpayers in accord with
prior law and in accord with the Library Code of 1961.[1]

The Borough shall maintain (or assist in the maintenance of)
the Greenville Area Public Library in accord with the provisions of
§ 401 of the Library Code of 1961, at an annual level of
financial support to the Greenville Area Public Library effective
for the fiscal year 2003 and each and every year hereafter until modified
by ordinance, in an amount to be set annually by Borough Council.
The financial support as determined by the Borough Council shall be
paid out of current revenue of the Borough.
